The Gulf Careers editorial desk

Begin with the role you are applying for. Identify the actual responsibilities and required skills, then choose examples from your experience that demonstrate them. Use the employer’s terminology only where it accurately describes your work.

Write clear job titles, employers and dates. For each relevant role, explain what you did and the result. Use measurable results when you can substantiate them. If you cannot verify a number, use a precise description instead of inventing a percentage.

Keep the structure readable: contact details, a short relevant summary, experience, skills and education. Follow the application portal’s file-format instructions. Avoid placing essential contact or experience information only inside decorative graphics.

Explain location and availability accurately where relevant. Do not claim a professional licence, language level, eligibility or work authorization you do not have. The employer decides whether your experience fits its requirements.

Before applying, check the company name and role in your file, confirm your contact details and remove unrelated personal information. Save the version you submitted alongside the original vacancy link so you can prepare consistently if invited to interview.
